Photography was always fascinating to me, viewing the work of other photographers. I was, however, a bit intimidated to try it myself back in those days of film.
With digital photography becoming more popular, and more accessible, I finally decided to try it myself as a hobby, and started learning the basics in 2006 when I bought my first SLR camera.
My photography primarily involves capturing the everyday moments that show the beauty of life, whether it be people, events, animals/wildlife or nature. I enjoy capturing expressive moments: from a performer sharing their feelings, passions and emotions with their audience; to an animal studying its viewer or its environment--while trying to survive, or simply at play.
I also enjoy product photography for advertising or art.
Photography has been very therapeutic for me. It has helped me relax, yet focus and see the world in so many new ways--not taking the simplest things, or people I've met in my life (long- or short-term), for granted. I also learned a lot about "patience".
